Sand Glyphs
I was walking on a beach at Ocean Shores, Washington, and came across
an area where seagull tracks criscrossed the sand. Even though it
was nearly noon, the sun was low because it was December 22, the day after
the Winter Solstice -- and the low sun angle brought out the shadows to
make the tracks look like some kind of alien version of cuneiform script.
