Flight Log for 24 April 1999, 60 Acres Park, Redmond, WA

Sunny and calm -- perfect rocket weather.
Model Flt
Recovery Type Motor Comments
12" plastic parasheet w/ spill hole and vents
Estes A8-5 Due to a minor error in loading the rocket on the pad, this flight turned in to a static test -- the motor hook was caught under the clothespin I use for a standoff.  Everything nominal, but altitude zero.
12" plastic parasheet w/d spill hole and vents
Estes A8-5
This flight was much more as expected, high, straight, and landed back close to the pad.
Mini-Marz Lander
12" plastic parasheet
Estes 1/2A3-2T
Flight was completely nominal, but it appears that cellulose wadding isn't appropriate for this model -- shock cord, suspension lines, and parachute were scorched, and the parachute failed to open.  No other damage; this is a sturdy model and doesn't fall fast.
24" crepe paper streamer
Estes A8-5
This was the kind of flight I expect from the Flutter-B -- very high for the the impulse, and a long time coming down.
