Flight Log for 12 June, 1999, Boeing Space Center, Kent, WA

Sunny and hot, wind 3-10 N, changing to W
Model Flt
Recovery Type Motor Comments
Spike (2)
18" nylon parasheet Aerotech RMS 24/40 E18-4W Good weather, but the grass was uncut, and high enough to lose even something like a Big Bertha if you weren' t pretty careful to keep it in sight on landing.  I had some Copperhead trouble and then, after this perfect flight, spent more time talking than flying.  After a bit, I decided I wanted one more flight, and found I didn't have any motors suitable for the Thug, and the only thing suitable for the conditions in the Spike would have been another E18 -- and I don't think I had any more of those in the four second delay.
